Hey!

I just wanted to say a thankyou to everyone involved in making Xippy! There is lots of posts in this forum bashing them for not bringing a big update.... yes there is things that need fixing and updating. But I for one, love my current site and it suits our clan down to the ground. We need to remember this is not their main job so a wait for updates is understandable! Then we have people saying "We are paying for this service, so they need to update it more". Well, they do give us updates and the service we pay for is almost perfect, fast and reliable servers with the excellent feature rich site xippy offers. All for a low price!

Yes I too look forward to the updates, but I also want to say thankyou for the site we currently have Smiley

Drop by and talk to us sometime Smiley

Kind Regards,

November 22 they fixed a few bugs in the forums.

What the haters are complaining about isn't updates, but a complete overhaul. My site works, looks great, and is very functional and clean. It's exactly what I want. Some of the v6 features would be nice, but it's hardly necessary to keep my business.

Holy crap man!  Ok, they are slow on the updates....we get it.  But, it all works fine now.  Updates would be awesome, but try to find another site host for this cost and you will spend all day with no results.  If you don't like these sites/host find another one and stfu already.  All I see all over their forums are your hate spam.  Please tell me you aren't American, because its no wonder a lot of countries can't stand us if this is the representation they see...let me guess California or NY?  Geez, give it a freakin rest already.

to EoOoDaReS

I've given you answers, you don't like them you just keep racking up the same track on and on and ON...

We've had problems with the designer..he's a trainee doctor,  this isn't a full time job.. we all used to do it for fun.. and maybe in the end for a profit....now it seems like a pain.

The servers cost a fortune each month and we barely  break even at present. But we're being as nice as we can in spite of you in these difficult times. Don't know if it affects you but there's a recession in the big wide world and some people need to do more than one real job just to keep their head above water.

Kindest regarsd

Understandable, and no it does not effect me although my heart goes out to you.  But back int he real world were money talks I still have no answer.  Im sorry if this money for products is a pain for you guys, maybe you should put that into the sales brief at the start.  Plain and simple All i would like is that same thing I and many others have for some time now. ... answers?

the answers that you do give are more excuses and give a dif reason with each statement.

As others have already said it's good value for the money... Maybe not for you.. Raise a support ticket and we'll refund you.

I don't like the spoiling tactics that you seem to be using here.. we know you've already gone elswhere and just seem to enjoy raising the same arguement over and over.... like negative advertising...

We're not going to enter into any further discussion about this.   Raise support tickets and we'll answer you there.

Rosco;)

Paul, I am still getting private messages through here about moving on. The lastest was from Briguy and he said he moved on to Enjin.com.

I have looked into Enjin several times. In my opinion they are very expensive. They do offer a free service but it`s kinda rubbish IMO.

Do you need volunteers to help with updates? I am being patient and just trying to understand why nothing is being done.

Hi Brancher, I've banned briguy.

We have a volunteer at the moment, but we need to get the development environment sorted properly so that we can provide him access to upload new themes, but nothing else. We're almost there on that. The few changes that we wanted he seems to be doing a good job on., but we haven't put it in to test yet.

If anyone out there has css experience and  they'd be willing to help us out for a modest fee, please pm me. We'll take on some more once we have the dev environment sorted with proper access control. I won't be rushed on this.

I will check around for you. I do have one guy that has his own business in web development. I will try and contact him to see if he is interested.

Xippy has so much potential if handled right.

Thanks. I really want to employ freelancers rather than a company.

Paul,

I contacted my friend for you. He has sent you a message and he is not a free lancer but has a business in web design.

Did you contact my friend yet? Have you finished the 2 themes you told me about?
