Why dosn't xippy offer a free plan like www.enjin.com

They let you create a free site with forums and some nice features with a couple of ads.

I think xippy would do well offering a free plan like enjin, what do you guys think?

We looked at this previously but wanted the extra functionlity, to make a distinction as well.

What do you mean by extra functionality ? You could offer a free limited xippy website or with full functionality with pay. I have to say the guys at Enjin are doing it right this way.

Bri, You do not need to send me private messages about Enjin. I have known about them for 2 years now. In fact I created a free site there and still have yet.

IMO it is not good enough, it lacked theme options for the free service. I had thought about upgrading and still go back there from time to time.

If they would lower there rates I would upgrade.

Although I am not 100% happy here yet at Xippy, I have just enough options to keep me here rather than Enjin. Now the main problem is being established.

I have spent hours trying to get the whole clan signed up. So if I decide to move the clan website it is going to be a major pain in the ass.

Bottom Line: The free Enjin site is garb.

A free xippy might be good with ads.

You might want to try iclan websites www.iclanwebsites.com

Its free and has a range of templates to use. no ads either. never heard of engin though.
