2010 and Xippy

To whom it may concern:

I want to address the issues that we paying customers have with Xippy. As most of us came to Xippy to trust with our accounts and clan, it has been disappointing to say the least.
My last experience over the Holidays was the last straw. I had sent Happy Holidays to each and everyone of my clan members. Only to get replys returned with blank messages. I spent over 2 hrs sending those  messages out. Sending the messages was easy enough but when the clan members used the reply option it did not work for them and I recieved the same message that I had sent them!!!
This site is not USER friendly for either myself and especially my clan members. I had just re-newed my service before Xmas for 3 months at the cost of $20.00. That is alot of money no matter where you live. The services here are very alluring when you desperately looking for a site to put your clan in.
I was very impressed at first. After I worked hard to get my clan members to sign up I start to get complaints about the forums and why there isn`t more options like picture galleries and blog options. So I am starting to take blame because I paid for a site that I put over 50 people in that has no real site options for them as users. As you see it`s not just the paying customer who is suffering this lack of website options it is our clan members as well. This really pisses me off!!!! You see Xippy I love my clan and I will do anything for them. I had asked most of them to be patient because of what I had been reading on the forums about updates that was brought up by you (Xippy). Here it is 2010 and I have not seen 1 single update and there is no excuse you can give me.
So I`m saying either sell your rights to a dedicated developer or get off your ass and get something done!!

As I didn`t have enough space to finish my post I will finish here. I want to let Xippy know I might have a investor in my clan that will buy your rights Xippy. I also have a website developer in my clan that can make the changes needed here on this very site. He lives in Florida and has his own business for website development. So why don`t you send me a PM message and give me a fair offer and I will look into buying Xippy and get the changes done that are in fact needed. This site is out dated and it is in need of serious attention and if something is not done I predict extreme losses of customers. I am serious about my inquirerie of purchasing Xippy. Just let me know.

Nail on the head there im afraid.  I would say starting another "non-Xippy" site was the best thing i had done.  When i compare the customer contact service for money and overall ability to do anything including make ur own templates I cant go wrong. I can even make vids, post pics and it all works...lol

Again like i said in an earlier post, all this could have neen dealt with in around 2 days by a 10 year old.  All you have to do is link new forums and play with the themes... lol

the fact that you blame some developer and others is just crap, if i payed someone to do something for me and they still had not even done ANYTHING a year later, they would be sacked.  And thats why, you Xippy are sacked!

As i have said i have one here too.  Im a paying customer so wise up and get the facts straight before you get on your high horse.  Like i said if your happy with your retro forums and site you crack on but i would like a little more than false promise

brancher - if it's so rubbish why would you want to buy it?

I'm not selling...I've already spent far too much time any money on this to let it go at a knock down price. It frustrates me that I get let down too. It makes me look bad. I design and run development updates on a bi-monthly basis in IT for invesment banks in the city, I know how to get releases in on time, and always do 99% of the time. These guys just don't play ball.

I'm keen to sort this out in 2010 and add some really great functionality.

Read my post slowly and carefully. Like I said when a clan leader is desperately looking for a trusted and professional site. Xippy is very alluring, the main site page is very business like and gives one a sense of " Hey I can trust these guys". I never said anywhere in my post that it is rubbish now did I.
I spent countless hours getting my clan to sign up. I still have yet to get half of them on here due to catching them online. I have 2 doctors as well in the clan and they tell me that they do not using the site for lack of options and it being user friendly.  When I recieved empty messages back from my Holiday wishes it was frustrating to say the least. I was told they tried using the return option, all I recieved was the message I had sent them. Just like on this very forum, I tried to quote your post and there was not enough room to see what I was typing! Try it for yourself. I have been here over 6 months and have read all the posts about updates and what have you. I have yet to see 1 update "PAUL". You obviously have a good job and good education. You get your updates done for a customer who pays well (Banks). I ask you what about us customers here at Xippy? I am glad to see you keen!! Honestly though go back to the forums and dates of help and posts. " OLD NEWS " Now I am undecided and have to look for a way to get my clan members options they can use and enjoy. MAG is releasing soon and I am recruiting hundreds of players. At least that is my goal. I would like to have options for everyone to be excited to get on the clan website.

Hi Branher,

it was a quip, I didn't want to deal with each issue. I haev asked HippY to sort out the PM issue for replies. I believe we had a bug which was supposed to be fixed. I've chased him again. 

Things will be moving but I clearly can't give you dates, until I'm actually testing it and it's not available yet.

Its true that private messages are really poor on Xippy.
The number of times Ive sent a pm and got a blank reply or what just I wrote originally...
You really ought to sort that out as a priority.

The forums are hopeless too,now that we at BSoD linked to custom forums its much much better but means logging in twice of course,which isnt ideal.

Cant you get something Superfandango up and running this year?

Id throw you a few quid extra to see that dunno about anyone else.

Just to change the tone a little bit, i'd like to say thanks to Xippy for supplying me with a site with TONS of functions for a very reasonable price - any updates you do will of course be appreciated and i look forward to any of them.

Also Xippy, if you were to add new features, such as a blog, or a more advanced forum (with one login system) - I would certainly be willing to pay more per month (maybe optional extras?)

guys, lets be reasonable here, we pay buttons for this service - if you sent me an e-mail tommorow asking me to make you a site like Xippy i would charge you a minimum of ?1000 plus charge you for changes - and that's only because i have many CMS systems built that could be changed to suit.

Xippy - if you do outsource any web design work I have a number of freelancers working for me and would be more than willing to get you some pricing on features or give you some contact details - let me know.

gotta agree, for what we all pay i cant see why people are complaining. i for 1 have nt had any issues with the site (other than ts3 not showing up). it does what we all want for a clan site. stop winging like kids and let the lads get the work done eh

I'm In the process of revamping the clan that's meant to be promoting XippY.
